Yes, the kiosks can scan ID barcodes. If your barcode cannot be read, you may manually enter your information in on the touchscreen.

The kiosks can typically still read worn IDs, however if your ID barcode is no longer readable, you may need to manually enter your data.

If you need to update your address on you GA Driver's License or ID you can change your address online (https://dds.georgia.gov), in person at a DDS Customer Service Center (CSC), or by downloading the DDS 2 GO Mobile App. You cannot currently update your address at a kiosk.

Individuals who are not able to verify their identity at a kiosk may complete their transactions by going online (https://dds.georgia.gov), visiting a DDS Customer Service Center (CSC) in person, or downloading the DDS 2 GO Mobile App.

ITI takes a current photo of your face and the data gathered at the kiosk and verifies it against the Georgia Department of Driver Services system of record. ITI takes special care and utilizes a variety of security measures to protect your identity and secure each transaction with Georgia Department of Drivers Services.

The transactions protected by identity verification are transactions that, if performed by someone besides you, could lead to fraud and identity theft. We capture a photo of your face to verify that the person attempting to perfom one of these secure transactions is in fact who they say they are. This important measure enables you to securely interact with the DDS without visiting the DDS, ensuring others can't transact as you, changing or gaining access to your personal information thus helping to prevent fraud and protect your identity from theft.

We limit data capture to the essential information required for processing a transaction chosen by the individual utilizing the kiosk. The captured data is exclusively accessible to the State DMV and is never retained by ITI, nor utilized for any purposes beyond the customer selected transaction. We never engage in the sale or sharing of your data with third parties.

ITI does not save/retain your personal information or photograph in order to protect your identity and privacy. Each transaction will require that you complete the identity verification process.

Kiosks currently do not support use of mobile or digital driver's license. Currently, you can scan the barcode on the back of your Georgia Driver's License or manually enter your information to start the identity verification process.

ITI captures a photo of your face to verify, via a 1 on 1 comparison, against the photo on record with the Georgia Department of Driver Services. ITI does not retain this photo after the transaction is complete or if the transaction fails in any way.

The information requested is required to verify that you are who you claim to be, helping to prevent fraudulent transactions with the Georgia Department of Driver Services and protecting your personal information and identity.

No, ITI will only charge a convenience fee for completed transactions following a successfully verified identity.

Make sure the text on your ID is clear, readable, and unobstructed when scanning
Remove glasses, hats, scarves, and other accessories that may obstruct your face
Ensure your face is centered in the image capture box before capturing
Try to limit the number of people that appear in the background of the image capture
Confirm your face is fully forward-facing and visible in the photo
Reduce glare by stepping out of or blocking direct light which can cause shadows or over /under exposure thus changing the appearance of facial contours
Ensure your eyes are open when capturing the photo
Position and Distance - face forward at a distance of no more than 1.5 ft from the screen

The kiosk will capture your photo and collect personal information, including full name, date of birth, residential address, and last four digits of your social security number. This information is collected solely to support your transaction with the Georgia Department of Driver Services. ITI does not retain your personal information or the photo after the transaction is complete.

While not required, it's strongly recommended that you remove hats or headgear, that may obstruct your face during the photo capture which may lead to an identity verification failure.

Eyeglasses are permitted for the photo, keep in mind that any reflections obscuring the eyes could cause a failure in which case we'd recommend removing your eyeglasses for the subsequent photograph. It is essential to avoid wearing sunglasses, transitional glasses that remain darkened, or glasses with tinted lenses, unless they are medically necessary to reduce glare or for eye protection reasons. Ensuring clear visibility of the eyes helps ensure a high quality photo for verifying your identity.

Individuals who do not wish to be photographed at a kiosk can still complete their transactions online (https://dds.georgia.gov), in person at a GA DDS Customer Service Center, or by downloading the DDS 2 GO Mobile App.

ITI and DDS are fully committed to ensuring equitable access to government services for every citizen, regardless of their gender identification.

The ability to verify your identity at a kiosk depends on various factors and accounts for changes in appearance, including aging. Some factors may have an impact on your ability to verify your identity , such as facial reconstructive surgery, bandages covering your face, facial swelling and bruising, or facial tattoos that alter your facial appearance. In such cases, it may be challenging to establish a confident match with the photo on your ID, potentially hindering a successful identity verification at the kiosk.

Verifying your identity at the kiosk will not have an impact on your credit rating.
